During my last visit in Lyon, France—Cité des lumiere—I explored the Confluence Museum, an architecturally unique building that stands as a symbol of the transformation of an old industrial neighborhood. The museum boasts an intriguing collection showcasing the history of mankind and our connection with nature, including a variety of indigenous art. This experience drew parallels to Cabinets of Curiosities, miniature collections of extraordinary objects that aimed to categorize and narrate the marvels and peculiarities of the natural world, often featuring animals. My artistic inspiration for this project was influenced by both Cabinets of Curiosities and the diverse bird species found in Singapore.
