One of the first places I visited in Singapore was Gardens by the Bay.
Gardens by the Bay is famous for its architecture and its colourful lighted structure.
The place entertains several millions of tourists and locals every year through an amazing lights and musical show.
I love the curved and elusive shapes that represent the trees.
The complexity of the structure allows it to have an amazing colour lights show, in the middle of the flower ornaments.
I created texture with reliefs, wood boxes, different papers, combined with aluminium, gold and silver leaves, decorative flowers, and pearls.
I used a mix of painting: spray, acrylic calligraphy, and markers on the artwork, emphasising the combination of techniques used by the architect of Gardens by the Bay.
With my artwork, I wished to create a similar atmosphere and a nod and wink to this impressive architecture.
