Thunder Melody

Thunderstorms are a common occurrence throughout the year in Singapore, especially during the intermonsoon periods. Typically, they last for under 30 minutes due to the tropical climate. Despite their brevity, the sky can transform into a stunning display of dark, blue, purple, yellow, and green hues with mesmerizing lights.

If you’re fortunate, you may witness striking orange tones, especially towards the day’s end. On one occasion, as I was heading home near the pool at my Kovan Melody condo, the sky darkened, and thunder rumbled.

Hastily seeking shelter in the common room, I had a front-row seat to experience the intense 30-minute lightning and thunderstorm show.
